In preparation for the 2009 influenza season Prof Bill Rawlinson, Head of Virology, Prince of Wales Hospital and Director, Influenza Specialist Group appeared on the 2SM Breakfast program with Grant Goldman to discuss the benefits of annual influenza vaccination and vaccinate Grant live on-air! The radio breakfast host took the injection in his stride and continued to talk to listeners whilst the injection happened saying ‘it was so quick I nearly missed it'.
